Henrik whispered, aghast, as he peered out his window, moments after the World Trade Center had collapsed. His apartment was only a few blocks away, and he was lucky to be alive. What had started out as a normal day for Henrik Rehr, then turned into a day of fear and desperation and a battle for survival.

Separated from his wife and his older son by the confusion and fear that wracked the city, Henrik, with his youngest toddler son, began the excruciating task of ensuring the safety of his loved ones, during the evacuation process.
