Darth Vader's TIE Fighter is a prototype starfighter in the Star Wars universe. Flown by Lord Vader during the Battle of Yavin, many of its best design features were later incorporated into the TIE Interceptor. Vader wanted a custom fighter built to his exacting specifications, and it is likely that Sienar Fleet Systems used the craft as a test-bed for systems development.
